From their first meeting in 2009 on, the connection between the Italian guitarist Federico Casagrande and the French bass player Florent Nisse belonged to the latter category. Performing as a duo was a matter of when, not if. This awareness led them to several years of collaborating in various musical contexts, when they realized that as a duo the most exciting, stimulating and creative situations were always improvised moments. The complete freedom brought by playing unplanned music allowed them to find new ways, and to build a continuously renewed dialogue. The time had come to record these explorations. In the summer of 2020 they decided to book a studio, and to spend two days playing without any preconceived idea, any plan or safety nets. This album is the outcome.
